Our hospital held the CHENG HSIN Live 2020 international conference, which focused on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and complex high-risk coronary artery intervention
Cheng Hsin Hospital held the CHENG HSIN Live 2020 international conference on December 5-6, 2020. The conference invited top domestic and foreign cardiovascular experts to participate. The two main themes of the conference were hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and complex and high-risk indicated procedure/patients (CHIP) for coronary intervention therapy.
On the first day of the HCM forum, experts from the Mayo Clinic Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic in the United States, including Professor Grace Lin, Professor Hartzell V Schaff, Professor Jane A Linderbaum, Professor Rick A Nishimura, Professor Steve R Ommen, and Professor Yongmei Cha gave online speeches. In addition to American cardiovascular experts, the hospital also invited several Chinese experts, including Professor Wang Hao and Professor Wang Shuiyun from the Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor Yang Jian from the Xijing Hospital of the Air Force Medical University, and Professor Liu Liwen from the Air Force Medical University. Domestic experts also participated in the online conference, including Dr. Huang Rui-ren, Dean of the Yunlin Branch of National Taiwan University Hospital, Dr. Hsieh I-chang, Chairman of the Taiwan Interventional Cardiovascular Society, Dr. Tsai Feng-Chun, Director of Cardiac Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Dr. Xu Rongbin, Director of Cardiac Surgery at National Taiwan University Hospital, Professor Yang Zong-long, Director of the Quality Control Center and Innovation Center at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, and Dr. Lin Wen-yu from the Department of Cardiology at Tri-Service General Hospital.
On that day, in addition to live-streaming the surgical procedures, the hospital also arranged several exciting lectures in which experts shared their experiences in the surgical treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. On the second day of the conference (December 6th), the hospital arranged a live broadcast of its cardiac catheterization procedures and a seminar on how to manage complex and high-risk cases of coronary artery disease through collaboration between cardiac surgery teams and cardiology teams. A total of 11 surgical procedures were performed on that day, all of which were successfully completed.

Over the course of two days, our cardiology team showcased their rich surgical experience and superb skills, completing all cases safely and successfully, deserving applause. The conference was rich and practical, with a total of more than 7,500 clicks including from the mainland and unprecedented popularity, receiving unanimous recognition from the experts in attendance.
