Q1. How much should I pay for International Outpatient Clinic?
Physicians will charge different fees according to the patient’s condition and the difficulty of diagnosis and treatment.
Basic Charging Standards of the IMSC:

1) 掛號費Registration Fee: 500 NTD
2) 診察費Consultation Fee: 1,500 NTD
- 急診 (ER):
1) 掛號費Registration Fee: 700 NTD
2) 診察費Consultation Fee: 3,880 NTD
Special Outpatient Administrative Fee (if accompaniment during the consultation is needed): 3,000 NTD
Q2. Who are qualified to use the International Outpatient Clinic Service?
International Outpatient Clinic Service is available for those who do not have Taiwan ID card (or ARC) and NHI.

Q5. What is typically involved in the first evaluation?
A thorough examination is the first step in your visit to CHGH. Our Physician will start by reviewing your medical history. He or she will then order any necessary tests or additional consultations. These will be scheduled in a coordinated way, and you’ll be given an easy-to-understand itinerary. After testing is complete, your physician will review the results with you and make final recommendations.
Q6. Do I need to bring my medical records? Or does Cheng Hsin start from scratch?
We encourage you to bring any records related to the medical concern you want addressed. Generally, plan to provide:
- A list of the medications and dosages you’re currently taking.
- Copies of any medical record information from providers outside of Cheng Hsin.
- Any radiologic films, CDs, DVDs, videos or written reports related to your condition.
Q7. How soon are appointments available?
That depends on your medical need and your arrival date. We will try our best to make an appointment for you. Generally, timely appointments are available for urgent problems.
Q8. Can I fit all of my appointments into a single week?
It depends on your medical needs. In general, medical evaluations can be completed within a week. Cheng Hsin aims to coordinate appointments and tests in concentrated blocks, to be respectful of your time.
Sometimes, your physician will recommend additional testing or consultations, which require more time. In some instances, your evaluation or treatment may require return visits. We encourage you to keep travel plans as flexible as possible.
Q9. For foreigners, how can I arrange an outpatient visit to CHGH?
For foreigners who have Taiwan National Health Insurance (NHI) or ARC, the appointment can be made through general outpatient registration. For those who do not have NHI, they can still make the appointment through general outpatient registration, or through our Telehealth and International Medical Services Center.
Q10. May I consult the doctor for second opinion?
Yes, we do offer “second opinion” for the patients who can’t visit Taiwan recently. Please pay $200 (consultation fee), when we get the payment, our specialist will provide the results to the patient.
Q11. How may I pay for the medical charges?
Cash or credit card (Visa, Master, China Union Pay, and JCB) is acceptable.
Q12. Hello, this is my first time to visit Taiwan, can you arrange transportation and accommodation for me?
